Dr. Raynor Returns as Chairman of 16th Annual DFW Sports Symposium

Dr. Khalid Alkhelaifi and Rodney Whiteley, PhD of the renowned Aspetar Sports Medicine Hospital in Qatar were the keynote speakers at the 16th Annual DFW Sports Medicine Symposium this past weekend in Southlake, TX.  The conference serves to educate athletic trainers and physical therapists from all over Texas and the surrounding states on many different issues related to caring for athletes.   Its attendees were able to participate in hands-on lab sessions as well as learn from some of the city/country's leading experts in sports medicine.

Saturday Sports Injury Clinic with Dr. Raynor

Football season has begun, and Dr. Raynor will be in the Texas Orthopaedic Associates Saturday football clinic this Fall. Come in at 8 am on Saturdays to our TOA/D1 Sports Medicine Offices for X-rays and an evaluation with Dr. Raynor. If possible, click below to submit a request to let us know you are coming, but walk-ins are welcome.

Dr. Raynor has been recognized as a Texas Monthly Rising Stars Top Doctor. The selection process for Super Doctors is a rigorous multi-step process designed to identify physicians who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. First, SuperDoctors creates a pool of candidates. Each year Super Doctors invites physicians to nominate colleagues they know to be exceptional in their specified field. Physicians are asked to consider the following question: “If you needed medical care in one of the following specialties, which doctor would you choose?” The Super Doctors list is approximately 5% of the physicians within the respective state or region.

Dr. Raynor Returns to Lecture at the Vail International Complex Knee Symposium 2018

Dr. Raynor returned to Vail, CO this week as returning faculty at the Vail International Complex Knee Symposium (VICKS 2018).  

This is a premier knee course focusing on the evaluation and anatomic treatment of complex knee injuries.  The course draws some of the most famous surgeons around the world as faculty and is focused on conquering complexity through collaboration.  

Dr. Raynor served as a laboratory instructor demonstrating anatomy and complex knee surgical techniques to surgeons from many different countries who attended the conference.  He also gave lectures on the diagnosis and management of medial patellofemoral instability and proximal tib-fib joint instability as well as a live surgical demonstration on complex meniscal repairs.

Dr. Raynor Speaks at the Vanderbilt Orthopaedic Society Annual Meeting

Dr. Raynor returned to Nashville, TN to attend and speak at the annual Vanderbilt Orthopaedic Society (VOS) meeting.  Former residents and fellows gathered to discuss complex issues related to sports-related injuries this year.  Dr. Raynor lectured on hip arthroscopy and the diagnosis and treatment of hip labral tears and femoroacetabular impingement (FAI).

Dr. Raynor is Keynote Speaker at NTATS Annual Symposium

Dr. Raynor was honored to serve as the keynote speaker this year at the North Texas Athletic Trainers' Society annual symposium.  This is the annual meeting for area athletic trainers from all over North Texas as well as their student athletic trainers.  Dr. Raynor delivered a talk on the evaluation and treatment of hip pain in the athlete.  He was happy to see many familiar faces and meet many new ones as well.
